Local Counsel Services
RRBMDK has served as local counsel for firms nationwide before all courts in Northern Virginia including the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA), known as the “Rocket Docket.” Attorneys appearing pro hac vice in the EDVA must be sure to have experienced counsel, familiar with and to the Court, Judges and staff, and well-versed in the Court’s unique procedures and local rules before stepping into that first hearing. The Court demands a high level of preparedness and involvement from local counsel, who are required to be prepared at any time to serve as lead counsel if necessary. We take that responsibility to the Court and to our clients very seriously. Therefore, as local counsel, RRBMDK attorneys truly serve as co-counsel. Serving in this capacity in the past, our attorneys have researched and drafted initial pleadings, drafted and argued motions and/or responses, prepared discovery requests and responses, interviewed clients and witnesses, and actively participated in settlement conferences with the Magistrate Judges.
