In the Community

With a long history of involvement in legal organizations serving northern Virginia, the partners of RRBMDK maintain an active civic presence as well.

In its first week, RRBMDK co-sponsored the Kelley Cares Race in Alexandria. The firm is a 2008 President’s Club sponsor for the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, which Lonnie Rich chaired in 2006. The firm is also sponsoring Del Ray’s 2008 Town of Potomac Centennial celebration.

Lonnie Rich currently serves as the Chairman of The Campagna Center’s Business Leadership Council. He is a member of the Alexandria Mayor’s Economic Sustainability Monitoring Group. A former Democratic elected member of the Alexandria City Council, Rich and his wife, Marcia Call, co-hosted a successful fundraiser for Mark Warner for US Senate. Rich is also co-chairing his neighborhood’s Centennial Gala celebration. Finally, Rich is an active leader in Commonwealth Baptist Church, formerly Baptist Temple Church.

After years of taking on substantial civil rights cases, Ed Rosenthal joined and continues to serve as a board member of the Northern Virginia ACLU; he is also on the ACLU’s Virginia State Legal Panel, which is responsible for reviewing potential civil rights cases. Rosenthal also is an active member of the Inns of Court, an invitational association of prominent trial attorneys and judges.

Lana Manitta serves on the Judicial Selection Committees for both the Fairfax County Bar Association and Alexandria Bar Association. Manitta is also a member of Friends of The Campagna Center as well as the Virginia Women’s Attorneys Association.

Handling commercial and corporate litigation, Rick Dzubin serves as the General Counsel for the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. Dzubin is a board member of the Alexandria Bar Foundation.

An expert in domestic relations matters, Shannon Kroeger serves as a volunteer conciliator in Fairfax County Circuit and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts. She also participates as a volunteer tour guide for the Fairfax Bar Association Eighth Grade Tour Program.
